    José Antonio Alvarez

    Graduated from the Business Administration and Economics, and MBA from Chicago University. He started his career as an analyst in Instituto Nacional de Industria. Mr. Alvarez has built his professional experience with the biggest financial institutions in Spain, such as: Banco de Crédito Industrial, Finanpostal Gestión Fondos de Inversión y Pensiones, Banco Hipotecario de España, Argentaria or BBVA. He has been working for Banco Santander since 2002, first as the Head of Finance Division and now as Chief Financial Officer.

    Witold Jurcewicz, PhD

    Member of the Supervisory Board

    Graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at Wrocław University and holds a Ph.D. in law from the Institute of State and Law of the Polish Academy of Sciences. He specializes in commercial law and in the law on public trading in securities.
    He participated in numerous privatisation project, representing both the State Treasury, and the entities acquiring the privatised companies, including many foreign investors who were leaders in their industries. He was also involved in many take-over / merger transactions between private companies.
    Dr. Witold Jurcewicz has extensive capital market experience. Dr. Witold Jurcewicz was a co-editor of the code of good conduct under the auspices of the Securities Commission and the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

    José Luis De Mora

    Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). Graduate of the ICADE University (degrees in Business and Law). Holds an MBA degree from MBA Boston College. He started his professional career with such institutions as the Bank of Spain and Daiwa Securities. From 1994 to 1998, Mr. Mora was employed with Dresdner Kleinwort Benson (London) as the Spain analyst in charge of the Spain equity product / banks. From 1998 to 2003, he was employed with Merill Lynch in London as the Pan - European Banks analyst in charge of Pan-European banks strategy in France, Portugal, Italy and Spain.
    Since 2003, José Luis de Mora has held the role of Corporate Development / Strategy Director of Banco Santander. Member of the European Commission Group of Experts on the Banking Industry (GEBI).

    Chairman of Lelewela Enterprises Ltd., which operates the Roche-Bobois franchise network in Ireland. Financial consultant. Former General Manager in Allied Irish Banks p.l.c., instrumental to development of the Capital Markets, Head Office and AIB Poland Divisions. Joined the Supervisory Board of Bank Zachodni in April 2002.
    Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (FCIS) and the Institute of Bankers in Ireland.

    José Manuel Varela

    Graduated from Economics from Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Since 2007, Mr. Varela has been serving as the Deputy General Manager in Banco Santander. He was the Senior Vice President of the Group from 1987 till 2007. Mr. Varela is a Member of the Board of Santander Private Banking S.p.A., Italy. In the years 2007 – 2010, he was the Head of Asia Unit. He gained additional professional experience working offshore as the Head of the Representative Offices in Venezuela and Colombia (from 1978 to 1987). He also served as the General Manager of Extebandes (Colombia, Venezuela, Perú, Bolivia, Ecuador) and General Manager of Banco Exterior U.S. Branch (New York, Florida, California).

    Jerzy Surma

    Member of the Supervisory Board

     

    Mr Jerzy Surma graduated from the Faculty of Computer Science and Management at Wroclaw University of Technology. He was awarded the title of Ph.D. in economic sciences at the Management Department at the University of Economics in Wrocław. He completed IFP program at IESE Business School and Executive Program at MIT Sloan School of Management. In the academic year 2011-2012, Mr Jerzy Surma was a Visiting Scholar at Harvard Business School. In the years 1999 – 2006, Mr Surma held managerial positions in T-Systems Polska and SAS Institute Polska. He was vice president in charge of Business Consulting in IMG Information Management Polska where he was responsible for implementation of financial controlling system, re-engineering of business processes, IT advisory, business intelligence among others in the telecommunications and production sectors as well as in retail industry. In 2006-2009, he cooperated with MCI Management as a supervisory board member in companies CCS S.A and One-2-one S.A. In 2009-2010, he sat on the supervisory board member in Teta S.A. as a representative of Pioneer PEKAO Investments investment fund. Since 2008 he has been a member of the Supervisory Board and Audit Committee in Kęty Group. At present, he is Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Business Administration at the Warsaw School of Economics. In addition, Mr Jerzy Surma is a head of post-graduate studies in Business Intelligence.
